A Ghana national was arrested by the Hosadurga police on charges of trying to cheat people by giving them fake foreign currency notes.
The accused is Kennedy E Chikova (37), claiming to be a garments trader from Accra city of Ghana. Williams, the kingpin of the racket, is absconding and help has been sought from the Mumbai police to arrest him.
They were also involved in cases of cheating people by claiming to convert plain paper into currency notes.
