The chief minister said the assembly session would start from June 2 and they would ask the governor to give permission so that other things can run smoothly.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday paraded its Karanataka legislators before Patil in a bid to prove its majority in the state assembly, even as Governor H.R. Bhardwaj came out publicly with the reasons for his report to the central government, reportedly recommending president's rule.
BJP president Nitin Gadkari said the party urged the president not to accept Bhardwaj's report on imposing president's rule and urged her to recall the governor.
In Bangalore, Bhardwaj clarified in a communique that he recommended president's rule following the Supreme Court judgment as there was a breakdown of the constitutional mechanism on the day the confidence motion was taken up in October last year.
