U V Singh joins survey of mining leases

The task force is conducting the survey on the direction of the Supreme Court. Singh, who assisted the Lokayukta during the investigation in 2008 has extensive knowledge of the mining areas in the district.

The task force conducted the survey of the mining areas of Lakshminarayana Mining Company, Chowgule Mining Company, Mansur Ahmed Mining Company and Gunda forest area in the north east block near Hospet. Another senior officer of the Forest department, Deepak Sharma too has joined the team.
