Bhardwaj pats officers

Speaking at the inauguration of the diamond jubilee of Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), Bhardwaj said that he had toured several districts, and found the Deputy Commissioners, Supe­rintendents and those below them very alert in their duties.
“Several dignitaries who come to meet me from Europe, and Britain, mention specifically the potential of this wonderful State”, he said.

“Some of the distinguished administrators from this State such as Sir Visvesvariah were admired by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru”, he added.

The Governor said that civil servants have to work keeping principles in mind, and with mutual respect.

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa recounted his days as a second division clerk in government service before entering politics.

“After becoming Chief Minister, I have lea­rnt a lot of lessons. In the com­i­ng two years, I will devote my attention to give a transp­arent administration," he said.
