Watermelon Sorbet

Ingredients: Watermelon ½; Mint leaves 8-10 or ½ tsp oregano; 1 pinch pepper powder; sugar or honey (optional). Method: Scoop the watermelon flesh and remove the seeds from the fruit. Blend the fruit in the blender with mint leaves or oregano. Add pepper powder, sugar or honey as required.

Mix well, garnish with small pieces of watermelon and serve chilled.

Minty Mango

Ingredients: Raw green mangoes 2, peeled and cubed; ½ cup sugar; 8-10 mint leaves; 1 tsp cumin powder; rock salt to taste; water as required.

Method: In a pan put the mangoes and pour water till the mangoes are covered with it. Cook on medium heat till tender.

Then add sugar and cook till the sugar has melted. Cool the mixture and add it with the remaining ingredients in a blender.  Blend the ingredients till smooth. Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.

Kiwi Kooler

Ingredients: Kiwi peeled and cut into pieces 2; ½ cup orange juice; 3 tbsp sugar; 1 tsp lemon juice. Method: Blend the fruit with sugar and lemon juice. Mix in the orange juice and blend it again. Garnish with a slice of kiwi fruit and serve chilled.

Papaya Punch

Ingredients: 1 cup papaya, peeled and chopped; 1 cup musk melon, peeled and chopped; 1 cup orange juice; 2 tbsp sugar; 4 tbsp papaya balls to garnish.

Method: In a blender add the papaya, musk melon, orange juice and sugar. Blend well. Garnish with papaya balls and serve chilled.

Fruit Fusion

Ingredients: Pineapple, finely chopped ¼ cup; ¼ cup apples, peeled and finely chopped; ¼ cup strawberries, finely chopped; ½ cup fresh pineapple juice; 2 tbsp powdered sugar; 2 tsp lemon juice, 3 bottles chilled soda water.

Method: In a bowl combine the chopped fruit. Divide it into 6 equal portions and put the mixed fruits into 6 glasses. Combine together the pineapple juice, lemon juice and sugar.

Stir well and pour this juice equally into 6 glasses. Top with chilled soda water, mix well and serve immediately. Black Grapes and Banana Sorbet

Ingredients: 1 cup black grapes, seedless; 1 banana, finely chopped; 4 tbsp powdered sugar; 1 tsp cumin powder; ½ tsp rock salt; ¼ tsp lemon juice.

Method: Blend the grapes and bananas to a fine puree in a blender. Then add lemon juice, rock salt, cumin powder, sugar and approximately ¼ cup water.

Mix well. Transfer in a bowl and freeze till set. Remove from freezer and blend again. Liquidize till it is slushy. Serve immediately.
