Joseph to be re-inducted into Kerala government

He will replace the party’s present representative in the cabinet, Public Works Minister Mons Joseph, who had taken charge in October 2007.

A decision to this effect was taken by the party recently after the Sriperumbudur magistrate’s court acquitted Joseph in the sexual harassment case filed by television anchor Lakshmi Gopakumar in 2006. She had complained that Joseph had grabbed her from behind after the cabin lights were switched off during a Kingfisher flight’s takeoff from Chennai to Kochi on August 3, 2006. Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan then asked Joseph to resign.

Party general secretary Francis George told reporters in Thodupuzha on Monday that Joseph would take charge soon.
