Congress stages stir against CM

Gathering at the Gandhi statue in the city, the protesters said that the state government has disrespected the constitution several time.

District Congress President M L Murthy said that since both the CM and the Assembly Speakers are largely responsible for the anarchy in the state, they should step down from their position.

Former minister K B Mallikarjuna said that BJP government at the state has been indulging into favouritism, nepotism, corruption and land mafia. “As far as the CM is concerned, he should be conferred Ph.D for twisting, turning and bending the rules for his convenience,” he said.

Former union minister D K Taradevi Siddhartha said that the CM had uprooted the constitutional set up. Justifying the move of the Governor of sending a recommendation to the President to dissolve the state Government, she said that centre should seriously consider the recommendation of the Governor.

Congress leaders K Mohommad, City Municipal Council Member J B Mahesh among others were present.
