This was informed to the media on Thursday here by Dhondup Dhunpsok, a representative of various Tibet organisations.

Displaying a banner consisting of photographs related to the self-immolation of Phuntsok, a 20-year-old monk at Ngaba in protest against the violence unleashed by the army of
People’s Republic of China (PRC), Dhondup alleged that the army has restricted the movement of locals there.

Students who had launched protests were suspended from their schools, while the locals who stood guard to prevent the arrest of monks were manhandled. He demanded the Government of India to press upon China to end its crackdown on Tibets in that particular region.
