Charge sheet filed against Kalmadi

“Kalmadi is the main accused as he was the person with all supreme powers.

“He had the supreme over-riding powers in the Organising Committee of the CWG, 2010,” the 50-page charge sheet said.

Kalmadi is currently in the Tihar jail where former telecom minister A Raja and Kanimozhi, a DMK Rajya Sabha member and daughter of former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Kanunanidhi, are also lodged.

Kalmadi has been suspended from the Congress following the CBI case against him. Special CBI Judge Talwant Singh took the charge sheet into record and posted it for May 23 for further proceedings.
