Travel in luxury, convenience

Tourism and Infrastructure Development Minister G Janardhana Reddy launched ‘Golden Jet Escapes’. Return flights to Bangalore on Jet Airways, and onward journeys on The Golden Chariot form a part of this package, which will have a special fare structure.

The packages target domestic travellers from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Goa and Kochi; on the international front, tourists from New York, New Jersey, Toronto, London and Brussels are being targeted.

Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy said that the government was interested in coming up with more initiatives, where marketing would be done with leading private sector players. “Karnataka has now spread its marketing initiatives firmly across international and national markets,” he said.

Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said, “We are confident that the compelling value proposition on offer will spur more travellers to visit Karnataka this year.”

Siraj Sheikh, Chairman, KSTDC, who launched ‘Sutradhar’, the on-board magazine of The Golden Chariot said that the magazine would narrate exciting stories relating to Karnataka. “Sutradhar is another piece of showcase literature for travellers to read.”
