JOIN USThe deceased have been identified as Ajith (17) of Kolchar and Adarsha (25) of Bilimale. The incident occured when the duo had gone to the river to take bath.
Ajith is the first PUC student of Nehru Memorial College and Adarsha was a farmer.
A case has been registered.
Pedestrian killed
A pedestrian was killed and three others sustained injuries when a mini bus dashed at him at Adyarkatte on the outskirts of Mangalore on Monday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Manjappa Rai (70), a resident of Pavoorguthu, Pavoor. The mini bus was bound to Puttur from Kudpu. The occupants of the bus were returning after attending a programme in Kudpu. A case has been registered.
Man found dead
A man was found dead at Saripalla on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Mallappa of Haveri. It is said that he was tied up and killed and the police suspect that he must have been assaulted by the locals.
House burgled
Some unidentified miscreants gained entry into a house and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs five lakh at Hat Hill in Mangalore. The house belongs to one Kumar Shenoy (39).
