Students experience magic of Chemistry

The museum hosted the programme on Monday, where over 150 students (Class 7-10) from schools across the City experienced the magic of Chemistry.

To mark the celebration of International Year of Chemistry, BASF has launched numerous initiatives to encourage science education. BASF Kids’ Lab gives youngsters the chance to experience Chemistry hands on and understand how chemistry works and what it can do.
The children, clad in “scientist suits” performed several experiments by themselves in the
course of the day, besides watching short films among other forms of activity.

Speaking on the occasion BASF Managing Director (Research and Director) Prabodh Chobe said: “In a world where only medicine and engineering are considered as ‘sciences’ and interest for pure sciences is waning, we want to create future scientists, who take up research in pure sciences.”
