Juniper/IBM sign OEM agreement
  
Juniper Networks, Inc, the high-performance networking solutions provider, today announced that Juniper and International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) are continuing to broaden their strategic relationship by entering into an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) agreement that will enable IBM to provide Juniper’s Ethernet networking products and support within IBM’s data centre portfolio of products.

The addition of Juniper’s products to IBM’s data centre networking portfolio provides customers with a best-in-class networking solution and accelerates both companies’ shared vision of advancing the economics of networking and the data centre by reducing costs, improving services and managing risk.

Toshiba deploys Magma's solutions to develop ICs  

Magma Design Automation Inc, provider of chip design software, has announced that Toshiba Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductors for consumer electronics, has deployed Magma's Talus® IC implementation software for developing ICs at 90-, 65- and 40-nanometer (nm) process nodes that target multimedia, networking and printer applications, in Toshiba worldwide design centres.

Toshiba adopted Talus after an extensive evaluation that proved the software’s ability to drastically reduce turnaround time, increase designer productivity and improve quality of results. Toshiba deployed Magma design implementation software in Toshiba’s Apex flows in 2001, and now has finished multiple designs including 65-nm and 40-nm tapeouts using Talus through its Apex 4.0 flow.

McAfee offers security solutions through cloud  

McAfee, Inc has recently announced its strategy to offer Security-as-a-Service, designed to provide consumers, small to mid-sized businesses and large enterprises with a comprehensive set of security products delivered as a service in the cloud.  This strategy builds on McAfee’s core strengths in threat prevention, its diverse software-as-a -service portfolio and industry-leading global threat intelligence, powered by McAfee Avert Labs. The service integrates endpoint, email and web security.

SonicWaLL expands its product-line   

SonicWALL, Inc recently announced the expansion of its TZ Series product line with the launch of the TZ 200, TZ 200 Wireless-N, TZ 100, and TZ 100 Wireless-N. The updated TZ Series, which also includes the recently announced TZ 210, provides small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and distributed enterprises with innovations in enterprise-class anti-spam, 3G failover and SSL-VPN remote access that help companies control security threats and increase productivity.

The new SonicWALL TZ Series appliances set new standards of integration.  Key innovations include the industry’s first Comprehensive Anti-Spam Service using SonicWALL’s enterprise-class anti-spam technology which incorporates Advanced Reputation Management on the firewall, Bayesian analysis in the cloud, and user level quarantining. This new service, combined with features such as automatic 3G and analogue failover, application identification, bandwidth management, SSL VPN remote access, wireless switch controller, integrated 802.11n secure access point, gigabit interfaces, and other key features, set a new standard for security appliances in the SMB and distributed enterprise.
