The petitioners had moved the High Court stating that the health department which had given an undertaking to the High Court during the hearing of a PIL to follow the rationalisation system during the transfers and appointment, had violated the norms.
The petitioners submitted that senior doctors have been selected for compulsory six years rural service. But according to rules should utilise service of junior doctors.
The Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice H G Ramesh has ordered notice to the government and has ordered status quo on the transfer process.
