Accompanied by Deputy Mayor S Harish, leader of the House B R Nanjundappa and Corporator M Muniswamy, the Mayor visited the lake and undertook inspection of areas in the Chokkasandra Ward.

The Palike has undertaken the development of the lake at an estimated cost of Rs three crore. Though the fencing of the lake was to be completed by December 2010, the contractor for the work sought an extension of three months. So, by March this year the fenicng should have been completed.

However, the work is far from complete.

Corporator Muniswamy gave an extension of two more months and warned the contractor to complete the work on time, else he would lose the amount deposited.

A week ago, the Mayor had warned Madhava Hi-Tech firm, which is struggling to complete the Kadirenahalli underpass, of stringent action on delay in completion of work.
