Cricket KSCA League: Viswanath helps Vijaya score draw

The right-handed Chougule hammered 17 fours and two sixes on his way to a 152-ball 133, the cornerstone around which Socials amassed 379 in their first innings. KP Appanna chipped in with an unbeaten 70, while Hardick Munoth took five fo 92 for Herons.

In response, Herons were dismissed for 342 despite 90s from Nidhuvan (90) and S Prajwal (96). Medium-pacer Binny took five for 115, while Chougule followed up his batting heroics with three for 60, as Socials came away with three points.

Vijaya snatch draw

Viswanath and Madhusudhana made blistering centuries to help Vijaya Cricket Club stave off defeat against Jayanagar Colts in their KSCA Group I Division II league tie for the MAT Acharya Shield.

After piling up 341 in their first innings, the Colts rolled Vijaya over 131 to open up a lead of 210.

Forced to follow on, however, Vijaya replied in stirring fashion, Viswanath making 122 (99b, 14x4 4x6) and Madhusudhana an unbeaten 100 (108b, 17x4, 1x6) to finish on 333 for seven in their second innings.
