'Lack of will among officials to provide sites'

Speaking after inaugurating Handi-Aldoor state highway which was reasphalted at Sathihalli in Aldoor, he said Deputy Commissioner had sanctioned 10 acre land in survey number 167. However, now the land has been declared as deamed forest. “The matter will be discussed in the Assembly.”

He said that he will hold discussion with the DFO and Deputy Commissioner in this regard. “I have not neglected Sathihalli Gram Panchayat. Yeddyurappa government is undertaking all pro people programmes,” he added.

Taluk Panchayat member H S Krishne Gowda said that there is no legal hurdle to solve the row over siteless.

“There is lack of will power among the district officials. MLA should convene a meeting with the elected representatives.”

Zilla Panchayat Member Savitha Ramesh said that the funds have been distributed equally among the gram panchayats to undertake development works.

The villagers aired their woes related to drinking water, road and housing on the occasion.

Taluk Panchayat Member S M Gangaiah, Sathihalli Gram Panchayat Vice-President Jarajabeen, Aldoor GP Vice-President Kaveesh and others were present.
