Kannada Samskriti Sammelan in Kasargod from August 1

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Sammelana Samithi President K P Manjunath Sagar informed that Director of Kannada and Culture Department Manu Baligar will inaugurate the Sammelana at 9.30 am on August 1, while litterateur Kayyara Kinhanna Rai will preside over the function. Kasargod MP P Karunakaran will be a special invitee on the occasion. MLA C T Ahmedali, Dubai Kannada Sangha President C R Shetty, Former Kannada Sahitya Parishad President Harikrishna Punaroor, Laitha Kala Sadana President Y S V Bhat, Senior Journalist S K Haleangadi Baroda will be the chief guests on the occasion. Manjunath Sagar will deliver the keynote address.

‘Kasargodu Swathanthrya Horatagararu,’ a book written by K Shivarama Shetty and published by Lalitha Kala Sadana, will be released by Manu Baligar on the occasion.
Also Noble Man Award will be presented to various people, Sagar informed.

Organising Committee Members Shivarama Kasargodu and Balakrishna Shetty were present.
