Engrossing: A scene from 'Shutter Island'. Doubting his own sanity

HBO presents ‘Shutter Island’ on June 8 at 9 pm. The movie stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley. It’s 1954 and up-and-coming US marshal Teddy Daniels is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston’s Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital. He has been pushing for an assignment on the island for personal reasons but before long, he wonders whether he hasn’t been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister.

Teddy’s shrewd investigating skills provide a promising lead but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals escape in confusion and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply.

Teddy begins to doubt everything — his memory, his partner and his own sanity.

Dedicated: Neeta ShettyAlways on time...

Punctuality is a word that’s often not synonymous with our celebrities. However, proving this statement wrong is Neeta Shetty aka Aarti of Star One’s Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein.

Everybody on the sets vouches for her punctuality and professionalism.

Says a source, “Neeta is extremely committed to her work. She doesn’t like to be late and is always on time. Everyone is blessed to have such a star on the show. Despite shooting till wee hours of the morning, she is always the first one to report on the set the following day. One such instance is when there was a shoot for an important scene of the election rally which went on till 5 am. Neeta had to come at 7.30 am the next day and the actress didn’t crib about her shift even once. She was on time looking as fresh as ever.”

Perhaps all the actors should take a lesson from Neeta Shetty. Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein airs every Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Star One.

A different period

Discovery Science presents ‘Weaponology’, which travels through time, to explore the men, machines, and moments that shaped the feared fighting force of that era.

‘Weaponology’ airs on June 8 at 6 pm.
