Despite repeated pleas to clear the drain, the authorities have not taken any action in this regard, complain residents. Roads appear as small ponds, as water is stagnated in craters.
Although the rain has brought cheers among the farmers, it has brought out the shoddy work in the town.

In order to widen the main road, shops that came in the way were demolished. However, the remains of demolition were not cleared by the authorities which resulted in drains clogging with construction materials.

Besides, hotels and eateries on H N Circle throw the waste into drain.

As a result, rainwater has entered many houses in H N Circle, Kumbarpet Circle, bus stand, Ambedkar Colony, Valmiki Nagar and Vegetable Market circle. Residents have been draining the water out, but in vain. “We need at least 45 minutes to reach our college from bus stand, when it is 20 minutes on other days,” said students of National College crossing the inundated the roads. They are having tough time these days.
