Bishop Cottons wins TCS quiz

Held at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall, more than 500 students from standard 8 to 12, took part in the quiz.

 After some high level quizzing and a closely fought finals, Rishab Mehta and Manish Burman from Bishop Cotton Boy’s School walked away with the coveted winners trophy, along with a laptop each, closely followed by Rohan Mehta and Sonal Saldanha from St Joseph’s Boys High School as runners-up who received their trophy along with a digital camera and digital photo frame.

Changing trends

Keeping pace with the changing trends in information technology, the quiz had several mind-bending rounds, viz Twittering – which had topics from IT happenings across the globe. The quiz  competition focused on application of IT across various sectors such as world of internet and intranet and unique web sites, IT buzzwords and acronyms, IT personalia - international, national and local, advertisements of IT and communication companies, software products and their brands.
