Project on piped gas gathers pace

The agreement is a significant step towards expediting various other projects involving natural gas that would go a long way in meeting the fuel requirements of the State. 

GAIL is executing the Rs 5,000-crore project on 1,413 km Dabhol - Bangalore route and Rs 3,300-crore project on the 1,114 km Kochi – Koottanad – Mangalore - Bangalore route. Both the projects are scheduled to be completed by 2012-13.

Raj Kumar Khatri, Managing Director, KSIIDC and J Wason, Executive Director (Marketing), GAIL (India) Limited, signed the agreement in the presence of Chief Secretary S V Ranganath and other senior officers of the State government and GAIL.
