Rain damages road in Mudigere

Any delay in repairing the damaged road will impede the smooth flow of traffic.
Villagers claim that heavy traffic movement on the Kadur-Mangalore stretch and rainfall in the region led to the road collapse. PWD Assistant Executive Engineer Mallya said immediate steps had been taken to repair the stretch.

House collapses

A house collapsed at Abbugudige in Kalasa hobli during heavy rain on Friday and Saturday night. The loss has been estimated at Rs 50,000.  An aged couple residing in the house have been rehabilitated in a nearby house.
