Two killed, 20 injured in collision near Maderahalli

Prakash (34), a two-wheeler rider and Sweeti, an infant, are the deceased.
Of the 20 injured, 18 have been admitted to R L Jalappa Hospital while two have been shifted to district hospital. Traffic on National Highway 4 was affected for a while due to the accident.

According to police, Prakash was riding his two-wheeler towards Bangalore. The driver of the tractor, in his attempt to overtake the motorbike, rammed into Ramangar-Tirupati KSRTC bus. The driver of the bus, in his attempt to avoid collision, veered  the bus to the road side.
However, it hit the tractor on a side, and fell into a road-side ditch. Sweeti, the baby in the bus died of injuries while her mother sustained fracture of her leg, police said.
