DIG (Magadh range) Umesh Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar told reporters that a joint team of Special Task Force of Bihar police, District Armed Police and CRPF surrounded a private clinic at Guraru Bazaar and captured the naxal leader yesterday.
The doctor Lalji Prasad treating the naxalite leader was wanted in several naxal operations in Orissa, Bihar and Chhatisgarh and was evading arrest since 1973.

Jagdish Master, is a resident of Gamaharia village under Kasma police station in Aurangabad district, was admitted to the clinic for treatment.

"After arrest of Jagdish Master, an alert has been sounded in Gaya to prevent any backlash, as the arrest will be a big setback for the maoists," said a police officer.

He was allegedly looking after the affairs of the organisation from the forest areas of Dumaria-Imamganj, they said.
