Prisoners' release: Katti to seek Guv's approval

Prisons Minister Umesh Katti said that he would meet the Governor in a day or two and brief him about the plan of the government to release the prisoners who have been selected based on their good conduct.

The list had already been sent to the then Governor Rameshwar Thakur.  However, after his transfer, the issue is pending. “We will meet the new Governor and brief him about the proposal,” Katti said.
