proud moments G K Anil, Dhruv and Sudeep displaying the runners-up trophy.

The team was felicitated on behalf of AKK Entertainment in a City hotel recently. The event was attended by team captain Sudeep, ‘Man of the Series’ Dhruv and coach G K Anil, to retrospect the defeat in the final match and to discuss about future plans.
While speaking about the defeat, Sudeep said that it was a bad day for the team.

“Though we had lost the final match, we had scored the highest points in the league. ‘Karnataka Bulldozers’ was the only team which had seriousness and professional approach towards the game. Hence, we had received great respect throughout the league,” he said.

“We are touched by the love shown by fans who expressed their feelings through e-mails and comments on social networking sites. We couldn’t win the cup, but for sure we have stolen many hearts,” he added.

He informed that a committee has already been formed to plan about CCL 2012 which will happen in February. “It is a good sign that two more industries have come forward to take part in the CCL league. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor have shown interest to buy the Bengal team. I assure that CCL will be much better next year, so will be ‘Karnataka Bulldozers’,” he said.

He has all praises for his team member, deaf-and-dumb actor Dhruv, who played a major role in winning three matches.

Dhruv was awarded the ‘Man of the Series’ for his wonderful performance. Sudeep interpreted the thoughts expressed by Dhruv. “I am sorry for not coming up to the expectations of the fans in the final match. It was nothing but our back luck. We will give our best next year and win the cup,” he said.

G K Anil, the coach, was proud about the team. “I am glad that we had displayed proper and professional cricket on the ground. The final match was like an anti-climax and ‘Karnataka Bulldozers’ are the real winners in my eyes. We will come back with a bang next year,” he said confidently. Mahadev, Rudragowda on behalf of AKK Entertainment handed over the cheque of Rs 35,00,000 to team captain Sudeep.
