Rajni assures fans of return to screen

Three weeks after Rajnikant was flown from here to Singapore said, “I will soon be back to entertain you all through ‘Raana’ (his latest film in the making co-starring Deepika Padukone)”.

In Saturday’s larger message to his film fans from Singapore, a hand-written note in Tamil and signed as “Rajni” and copies of which were circulated to the media in Chennai, the celluloid hero struck a deeply philosophical note while thanking all those who prayed for his recovery.

In the same breath, “in my game of life, for all the facilities available (in Singapore) in terms of the best medical science expertise, medicines et all, I fully believe that what saved me are your (fans) prayers, havans, poojas and fasts that you have all undertaken for my sake,” Rajnikant said.

Profusely thanking all the people for showering so much affection on him — as though he was their brother, friend or their own son —, Rajnikant said: “If I am getting well now, it is because of all .”  he said.

“I do not have words to thank all of you, but for endless births to come, I shall never forget your love for me,”

Rajnikant reached out in a language deeply tinged with religious beliefs. “Henceforth, my goal is to only keep you all happy and entertained and will soon resume acting,” he added.
