Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, he said that if there is an award given for the most corrupt government in the country, BJP government at the State will win it hands down.

Yatnal said that the CM has started the trend of using names of gods for political gains and this is not for the first time that he has used the name of god in political front.

“When it came to issuing ticket to his son Raghavendra, the CM swore on Siddaganga Mutt that he would not give ticket to Raghavendra but when the elections came, he was given ticket. He has a record of swearing on gods,” he said.

Commenting on BJP’s State Representative in Delhi, Dhananjay Kumar’s statement that HDK has lost his mental stability, Yatnal said that the CM had lost his mental well-being long back.

“The CM is visiting Kerala frequently not for any medication but to protect himself from adversities that would hit him after the Lokayukta submits his report on illegal sand mining,” he said adding that even veteran BJP leader L K Advani has agreed that the government in Karnataka is not functioning efficiently.

Clarifying that this kind of truth test has no constitutional validity, he said that JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy had no other option but to accept the challenge posed by the CM to appear before Lord Manjunatha because if he had not accepted the challenge, the BJP would have declared that HDK is guilty.
