Rain resumes after a lull in Malnad, NK

It rained a record 161 mm in Hulikal of Hosanagar taluk, while Mastikatte in the same taluk recorded 76.2 mm of rain and Hosanagar received 7.8 mm of rain.

It rained 17.2 mm in Tirthahalli, 102 mm in Yediyur, 6.4 mm in Sorab, 17 mm in Sagar and one mm in Shimoga.

Following good rains, the inflow into Linganamakki, Bhadra, Gajanur and Tunga dams has increased.

 In Dharwad, it rained almost throughout the day, bringing life to a standstill. Hubli city also received rains.

Kalghatagi and Alnavar also received good rains, while it was drizzling in Kundgol.
Bagalkot district received good rains on Wednesday, and this rainfall is expected to speed up the sowing activities in rural areas.

Drizzling was reported from Gadag and Haveri districts.
