Replying to queries from reporters, Eshwarappa said party national president Nitin Gadkari himself had suggested the inclusion of Varthur Prakash into the Cabinet.
Prakash had extended his support to the ruling BJP during the political crisis in October last and had been promised a Cabinet berth in return. There are, at present, seven vacancies in the Cabinet.
Gadkari held a hour-long discussion with Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa on the prevailing political situation in the State, besides party and organisation matters at a five-star hotel on Friday afternoon. He is said to have told Yeddyurappa not to get worked up by the allegations against him and advised the chief minister not to take any decisions in haste.
