Road closed for ROB work

Sudden halt in vehicular movement causes inconvenience

Several motorists were inconvinienced as the traffic police suddenly put up the barricade on road and a signboard stating ‘work on railway bridge is in progress, road is closed; use alternative roads’. They piled mud on the road to prevent movement of vehicle.
Clueless motorists scouted for alternative roads to proceed towards Bangalore.

The vehicles coming from Bangalore can reach the new bus stop via flyover near Kondarajanahalli, the Bangarpet Circle, the Doomlight Circle and the Clock Tower Circle.
They riders can also come via service road near APMC Market, Takel Road to reach Clock Tower.

SI (Traffic) Chandrappa told Prajavani that the signboard will be put up on the main roads near Kondarajanahalli, the Bangarpet Circle and the Clock Tower Circle to facilitate smooth flow of traffic.

Deadline

The project is scheduled to be complete by March, 2012. The road will remain closed till the work is over. According to sources in the Railway department, apart from the Rs five-crore project, work on new project on lane will also commence by December.

Union Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa, during his visit to the home constituency last year, had said that the railway station would be built near the district stadium.
