Seize my family's 'illegal' properties, Revanna dares govt

“If the government has proof against us, let it confiscate all the properties shown against our names. Who is stopping them? We are ready to face any probe,” Revanna said, hitting back at the ruling BJP that has been accusing the Gowda family of amassing wealth through illegal means. Revanna, who repeatedly hurled abuses against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa during his press interaction, said: “If Yeddyurappa has the guts, let him order a CBI investigation into our assets.” He rubbished the charges made by the BJP as a “bundle of lies”.

“People who have gone against us have bitten the dust. We do not know what fate awaits Yeddyurappa and (BJP State President) K S Eshwarappa,” Revanna said.
He alleged that Eshwarappa had recently told him that he (Eshwarappa) would not rest till Yeddyurappa was removed from the post of chief minister. “Let him deny the same by taking an oath in the name of God,” he challenged.

Gowda’s challenge

JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda challenged Yeddyurappa to order a CBI probe into all allegations levelled against his family, Yeddyurappa, his family members and his Cabinet colleagues.

Gowda said neither he nor his family members were in possession of illegal assets or properties as alleged by the BJP government, and that he was ready to face any inquiry.
