Addressing reporters in the City on Thursday, KPCC president G Parameshwara said he would accompany Karnataka in-charge AICC secretary and general secretary Sanjay Nirupam and Madhusudhan Mistry respectively, on a seven-day tour in North Karnataka starting Friday.

The objective of this tour is to interact with grassroots-level workers, figure out ways to strengthen the party base, and ascertain the effectiveness of the Central schemes. The leaders who will undertake the tour from July 1 to 7 in Bidar, Gulbarga, Bijapur, Gadag, Belgaum, Hubli and Dharwad, will be joined by leaders of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and Council, Siddaramaiah and Motamma respectively, along with local legislators.

Parameshwara said that in the 15 days since the launch of ‘Congress Nadige Janara Balige’ programme, the party had successfully conducted 2,889 meetings, which was widely accepted and appreciated by the rural masses.
