Sami, who was granted anticipatory bail by the Bombay High Court in May this year in connection with a harassment case filed by his wife Sabah Galadari, had to surrender his passport to the investigating police station on the court's direction.

On July 29, he filed an application before the court seeking direction to the police to return him the passport.

"Sami has been directed by the court today to give an undertaking that he will return from Pak on August 16 and will surrender his passport immediately and will not flout any conditions imposed by the court," Sami's alwyer Vibhav Krishna said.

Sabah had, in April, filed a complaint with the suburban Oshiwara police alleging that Sami and his parents were mentally harassing her and blackmailing her.

According to Sabah, Sami possessed a CD and some photographs which showed her in a compromising position and had threatened to circulate them if she did not return the flats he had gifted her.
