20,000 jobs up for grabs at employment fest: Moily

At least 10,000 job aspirants are likely to find employment opportunities at the first ever district mega job fair to be conducted at the SJCIT college premises during the weekend.
“None will return disappointed,” Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily said at a press meet, after inspecting the preparations.

He said as many as 160 organisations will participate in the mela. They will include 13 companies from IT-BPO, 20 companies from Production and Manufacturing units, 8- retail sector, 3-banking, 5-automobile, 6- security services, 2 motor driving schools, besides, firms from agriculture, textiles and marketing will also take part. The companies had at least 20,000 vacancies.

The fair will be helpul in maintaining the data of employed and unemployed in district. ­ Legislator Assembly N H Shivashankar Reddy, DC N Manjula, District Superintendent of Police T D Pawar, Corproation Director H A Keshava Murthy and college principal T Munikenchegowda were present.
