JOIN USAlert passengers informed the police about a bag lying unattended on platform no. 19F around 6.30 pm. Soon, the bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs were pressed into service. During the investigation, the police found two licence books issued in the name of Joginder Singh and Lal Babu Singh, natives of Ishwarpur village in Bihar’s Bhojpur district.
Lal Babu Singh had renewed the licence while Joginder Singh’s licence had expired. The Upparpet police have booked a case.
29-year-old killed
A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot after a military truck ran over him near Vidhana Soudha Saturday evening.
Chandrashekar (29), a resident of Banashankari, was crossing the GPO traffic junction towards Cubbon Park when the truck ran amok, crushing him under the wheels.
