Aspirants continue to receive job letters

4,298 selected for various job-oriented training programmes in CB Pur

While a total of 4,298 candidates have been chosen to undergo training in various fileds like DTP, Security, Agriculture, etc, at the two-day Udyog Mela, organised at SJCIT Engineering College. A total of 14,000 job aspirants and 161 companies, institutions and organisations took part in the Udyog Mela.

Grand success

Giving details of the Udyog Mela at a media conference here on Sunday, Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily explained that the two-day affair was a grand success and the programme received a good response. Most of the job aspirants who attended the programme were recruited, he said.

The total number of school drop-out candidates are 416, those who passed their SSLC and PUC are 3,966, those who have passed their ITI, Diploma, JOC are 2,857, candidates who have passed their degree are 2,090, candidates who have passed their post graduation are 1,103, those who have passed their bachelor in engineering are 2,500 and a total of 90 disabled candidates took part in the Mela, he said.

Even several girl students were also benefitted by the event and most of them have received their appointment letters too, the minister said.

Labour Minister B N Bachegowda, District In-charge Minister Shobha Karandlaje, MLAs Shivashankar Reddy, N Sampangi Venkatas­wamy, Deputy Commissioner Dr N Manjula, Adi Chunchanagiri branch Mutt Nirmalanandanath Swami, industrialist Dr Mohan Alva and several others were present.
