Nischal spurs Bangalore Zone

At the RSI grounds on Tuesday, Bangalore Zone made 318 in their first innings despite a five-wicket haul by SK Moinuddin (5/112) as Nischal top-scored with 75 and Deshpande contributed 50.

There were other useful contributions from K Shashindra (36), Kaunain Abbas (32) and GS Chiranjeevi (37). City were in some trouble at stumps, having slipped to 27 for two in response.

At the NRA grounds, as many as 20 wickets fell on the first day as Shimoga Zone moved into the driver’s seat against Raichur Zone.

Raichur were rolled out for just 119 as Narasimha Murthy finished with four for 46. Shimoga replied with 195 for a lead of 76, despite Sanjeev Naik’s four for 43.
Raichur had reached five without loss in their second essay.
