Notice is an insult, fumes Renukacharya

Last Updated 04 August 2009, 17:32 IST

“I am still not in receipt of the notice but came to know of it through media. I will give a befitting reply after consulting my voters,” he said.

Questioning the rationale of issuing the notice, Renukacharya told Deccan Herald that he had discussed some issues pertaining to development with Bellary brothers. “I have not discussed anything with Congress or JD(S) legislators. Does having tiffin with BJP legislators amounts to indiscipline?,” he wondered.

He said that he had to meet ministers Karunkara Reddy, Janardhana Reddy and Sriramulu in connection with various works pertaining to Revenue, Health and Tourism, going on in his constituency.  “I will abide by any action that the State party president D V Sadananda Gowda may take,” he declared.

Conspiracy

Meanwhile, MLA Belur Gopalakrishna has termed the issue of show cause notice as a “political conspiracy.” Speaking to press persons in Shimoga on Tuesday,he said that “like-minded” MLAs of the party will meet on Wednesday to discuss the issue. BJP National President Rajnath Singh was asked to drop ministers indulged in corrupt practices from the cabinet. However, he refused to divulge the names and number of MLAs who will meet or names of ministers allegedly engaged in corrupt practices.
