'Co-op workers to get pay hike'

Addressing the reporters about the Rashtriya Rathna award given to Koppa Co-operative Transport by Delhi Economic Growth Society, on Monday, he said that it is the effort of all the employees, which has brought the award.

“The basic salary has been hiked according to the economic condition of the company, from July 1. The award is given to the organisation by gauging the 60 organisations in the country in terms of service, progress and achievements,” he said.

The organisation has submitted memorandum to Central Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge, M Veerappa Moily, Sharad Pawar and Kamalnath through Congress Leader Oscar Fernandes with the help of Youth Congress President Sachin Meega.

The organisation has urged the Central government to treat co-operative transport on par with government transport companies and give them priority too and asked for concession under Labour Act. They said that Co-operative Transport should be allowed on nationalised roads.
