Planetarium to come up in Gauribidanur: Moily

A planetarium will be set up in Hosur soon, in memory of Dr H Narasimhaiah, who made significant contribution to the field of education, corporate affairs minister, Veerappa Moily said on Sunday.

Speaking at a felicitation programe for senior medical practitioner Dr Subramahniam held in the premises of H N High School he remarked, “The planetarium will be established in the memory of Dr HN for his contribution in creating awareness in the field of science.”
‘Recognise HN’s work’

“There is a need to create a memorial planetarium at the tomb stone of Dr HN,” said Dr Subrahmaniam. “Students and youth should understand the significant contribution and the hard work that he put in the field of science and education,” he added.

High Court chief justice N Kumar,  who was present onthe occassion, said, “Dr Subrahmaniam has rendered exemplary service to common people. Instead of rendering services abroad, he has catered to the needs of the people in rural areas.”

MLA N H Shivashankara Reddy, Zilla Panchayat president Chinnapaiah, TV serial director T N Sitaram, former legislators Ashwath Narayan Reddy and Jyothi Reddy, BJP district-level president Ravinarayana Reddy, Taluk Panchayat president Srinivasappa, secretary of HN Trust Nagarajappa, office bearers of Hosuru hobli citizen committee, medical practitioners of M S Ramaiah hospital and Narayan Hrudyalaya were present at the occasion.
