Moinuddin ripped through Myzore Zone, capturing seven wickets for a mere 25 runs, as Bangalore City emerged champions after grabbing the crucial first innings lead at the RSI ground.

Resuming at their overnight 222 for four, Bangalore City folded up for a respectable 298 in 86.4 overs. The joy of bundling out City didn’t last longer as Mysore stumbled against lthe left-arm spin of Moinuddin, managing only 129 in their lone innings to concede a massive innings lead of 169 runs.

Needing to bowl out Mysore to emerge clear winners, City rode on the heroics of Moinuddi, who opened the bowling along with right-arm medium pacer Rajesh Singh (2/27). Moinuddin was on song right from the beginning and his bag of tricks left Mysore batsmen completely clueless, their innings finally ending at 41.5 overs.  The only saving grace in their innings was Nirmit Nityanand, who hit an unbeaten 67.

Having wrapped up the title, Bangalore played out the remaining overs with caution, scoring 53/2 in 23 overs to seal a memorable triumph.

Brief scores: Bangalore City: 298 all out in 86.4 overs (Aman Raj 40, Nikhil Kashyap 61, Kranthi Kumar 33; G Shantharaj 3-63, Md Salauddin S 4-104) and 53/2 in 23 overs (Rohith V Tiwari 2-21) drew Mysore Zone: 129 all out in 41.5 overs (Nirmit Nityanand 67 n.o., Rajesh Singh 2-27, SK Moinuddin 7-25).
