Marshy field race enthrals villagers

The games enthralled the villagers and explored the real spirit of the rural life.
It was a visual treat to view the contestants trying their best to reach the victory point in running race competition. Amidst drizzling, the villagers irrespective of their age and sex participated in the fun filled marshy field games.

The sight of children trying their best to win the prize, breath taking tug of war competitions aroused the curiosity of audience.

Lions Club President Nalina inaugurated the competition. There were separate events for students, women, men and youth. Various teams from Aldoor and Chikmagalur took part in the competition.

The villagers were seen trying to cheer their team. The children were seen enjoying in the marshy field without caring for their dress or look.

In the women’s category of running race, Navami, Asha, Shalini won the first three places. In sub junior category, Diveen, Rakesh of Bannur and Deekshith won first, second and third prizes respectively. In the junior category, the winners are Hosalli Sunil, Ravi and Mathavara Prakash. The senior division of tug of war was won by GJC team of Chikmagalur, Kesari team of Aldoor. In the junior category-GJC team of Aldoor and Galiganda Maruthi team won first and second place respectively. Aldoor Lions Club President Ravi, Secretary Siddarth, Rajiv, Mahesh and Nethaji Self-Help Group members were present.
