Police seize fake CDs and arrest one

On a tip off, the police raided the shop on Gandhinagar 5th main road and arrested Sonu, who had stored fake CDs of English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu movies.

One held

The CCB sleuths raided a shop at Silver Jubilee building and recovered duplicate wires of a well known company worth Rs 5 lakh. The police arrested Prakash for allegedly violating Copy Right Act, while another accused Ashok managed to escape.

Thieves strike at 2 places

Miscreants burgled a house of a retired armyman and made away with valuables including cash and jewellry worth Rs 5 lakh in  Ramamurthynagar.

According to the police, Muniswamy of Hoysalanagar had gone to Tamil Nadu. The theft came to light when he returned home.

Woman hangs self

A home maker committed suicide by hanging at her house on Tuesday night.

Geetha (25), a resident of Maruti extension area in Ramamurthynagar, took the extreme step as she was suffering from stomach problem. The incident came to light when her husband, Devaraj, returned home in the evening.
