Among them were 46 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 272 postgraduates and 338 undergraduates from six disciplines. As many as 117 gold medals were awarded to 41 top-ranked students, the most prominent being Vidushi Rastogi who bagged a whopping 16 gold medals.
Vidushi, a native of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, bagged the medals for her stupendous performance in BSc (Agriculture). She is the daughter of Hari Krishna Rastogi, a manager with State Bank of India and Kanak Rastogi, a professor at Banaras Hindu University.
Vidushi scored 91.8 percent and is currently pursuing MSc (Plant Biotechnology) at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.
Other gold medalists are: Prashanth R (BSc in agriculture) and Amreen Taj (BSc in horticulture) - six gold medals each, Shashikiran A S and Shilpa C N (five gold medals each in MSc - agriculture).
