A complete laugh riot

'Hum Tum Shabana'Hum Tum Shabana, a rollicking comedy roller coaster, produced by Horseshoe Pictures and Alliance Entertainment, had its special trailer out in theatres recently.

Releasing on September 23, the film’s quirky and colourful publicity designs are slowly but surely creating a buzz and curiosity amongst trade circles and the promos are said to be full of dhamaal, say sources.

Slated to be an out-and-out masala entertainer, Hum Tum Shabana is directed by Bheja Fry’s Sagar Ballary and produced by Sunil Chainani, Sameer Chand and Subhash Dawar.
The film features the talents of the rocking Golmaal jodi of Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade along with Minissha Lamba, Satish Kaushik, Sanjay Mishra and others.

Supermodel and ex VJ Pia Trivedi also makes her debut with the film. The film also boasts of a thumping and youthful music score by Sachin Jigar.

What’s more, T-Series was so mesmerised with the music of Hum Tum Shabana that the music rights have been apparently bought for an astronomical price. Though T-Series is tight-lipped about the deal, they have huge plans to promote the film’s music.

Bhushan Kumar refused to give details on the deal. He merely said, “Wait for a few days as we will launch the music soon. This album is a treat for every music lover.” Hum Tum Shabana promises to be the mother of all roller coaster rides and a comedy extravaganza that’s sure to knock your socks off.

A film close to heart

Hema MaliniVeteran actress-producer Hema Malini who is thrilled about her upcoming film Tell Me O Khuda,  which brings together onscreen the father-daughter duo of Dharmendra and Esha Deol for the first time, says that the role played by her husband was initially offered to Amitabh Bachchan. “We had offered a role to Amitji for this film. But due to some reasons, it did not work out. Reprising their famous roles

A scene from 'Rascals'. Buzz is that Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan will reprise their famous characters ‘Raggu’ and ‘Sultan Mirza’ in David Dhawan’s next ‘Rascals’.

In the upcoming theatrical trailer of Rupali Aum entertainment and Sanjay Dutt Production’s ‘Rascals’, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan will be seen comically threatening and challenging each other as their characters from Vaastav and ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ respectively.

Sanjay’s role in Vaastav and Ajay’s role in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ are said to be the most memorable personas on screen when it comes to movies based on the underworld. What’s more? We hear that the duo is named Chetan (Sanjay) and Bhagat (Ajay) in this comic caper.

We will have to wait and watch whether their characters have any similarity to the famous author Chetan Bhagat.

Well looks like this trailer is just a glimpse of the fun that is in store for us. ‘Rascals’ hits theatres this ‘Dasara’.
