Soccer star David Beckham said it will be “interesting” when his newly-born daughter Harper Seven will begin dating as a teenager. The 36-year-old footballer, who welcomed his first girl child on July 10 with his fashion designer wife Victoria, said he will be a very protective father when it comes to boys.

“She’s got three brothers to take her, eat with her and bring her back home and a dad waiting for her. So yeah, we’ll see. That will be interesting (sic),” he said.

David also said how he and Victoria don’t want any outside help when it comes to raising their daughter as they want to do everything themselves. “It’s hard for us to go out and socialise, and go out for dinner because Victoria’s nursing. But that’s the way we want it. We look after her ourselves, the boys look after her, of course.” He added, “But Victoria is doing an amazing job. She is looking after her so well and she really is so gorgeous.”

 Getting praises from everyone

Film-maker Ram Gopal Varma's crime thriller ‘Not A Love Story’ seems to have struck the right chord with the industry people, who have abundantly praised the movie, inspired by the 2008 Neeraj Grover murder case. “Watched ‘NALS’, brilliantly shot, very edgy with superlative performance by Mahie Gill, @rgvzoomin rocks !!! (sic),” film-maker Madhur Bhandarkar said on micro-blogging site Twitter.

“Watched ‘Not a love story!' OMG, a film defi to catch for.. Brutal behaviour of mankind in matters of obsessive luv wch can lead to hell (sic),” actress Mugdha Godse said. Earlier, even film-maker Mahesh Bhatt had praised Varma’s film, saying, “Ramgopal Verma deserves a standing ovation for making an outstanding film..NOT A LOVE STORY raises the bar for Indian cinema. Ramu uses a brand new technology in this film. This film will certainly be a game changer.” The movie starring Mahie Gill, Deepak Dobriyal and Ajay Gehi in lead roles hit theatres on August 19.

Living a bodyguard’s life

The makers of ‘Bodyguard’ have adopted a novel way to publicise their film — any one can become a bodyguard for a day to both lead stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor separately while they travel to various cities to promote the movie.

Directed by Siddique and produced by brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, the film will see Salman essaying the role of Kareena’s bodyguard as her life is under threat. According to sources, one can be a bodyguard to Salman and Kareena for a day in every city they travel. The idea is to make people live a life of a bodyguard. The selected person will be a shadow to Salman or Kareena in each city they travel to. “We are traveling to around 15 cities. Both Salman and Kareena individually will be traveling and promoting the film. In every city, they would have a local as their personal bodyguard for the day. It is an extremely enriching experience,” Agnihotri said.

‘Bodyguard’, the remake of a 2010 Malayalam movie of the same name, is set to hit theatres on August 31.

An unusual combination

Sagar Ballary’s upcoming comedy film Hum Tum Shabana produced by Horseshoe Pictures and Alliance Entertainment, starring Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba is slowly but surely garnering attention for its whacky and funny promos. And now we hear the producers have done something completely unique for their title track shoot for the film.

The lavishly shot song is a peppy beach themed one, with Tusshar Kapoor trying to woo Minissha and the actor is fully dressed a la Johnny Depp from the popular series, ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’.  What’s more is that the song will see Tusshar dance dressed as a pirate but to the trademark steps of his dad Jeetendra.

Says the actor, “The whole idea was conceptualised by the producers and choreography team. I have to woo Minissha in the song and I change avatars and dance to the same. It was the choreographer Adil’s idea to have me in Johnny’s ‘Pirate’ outfit and the project coordinator, Rafiq Kazi, a fan of dad, suggested a Jeetendra take-off. It was a Herculean task; there are 100 different things to do, from the braids and the sling, to the pajamas and the waistcoat.”

Sources say that quite a few people on the beach actually thought that the great
Hollywood actor was in their midst.

When Tusshar finally stepped out looking like Johnny and broke into a Jeetu jig, the crowds on the beach went crazy.

“We had a lot of fun, but thank God it was the last shot of the day. I wouldn’t have wanted to go through the ordeal of getting into that get-up again. Hats off to Mr Depp,” says the actor.

Well, we must say Tusshar Kapoor carries off the look quite nicely. Catch the rollercoaster comedy as it releases on September 23.
