JOIN USClaiming that the CMC has allowed land conversion violating the rules and regulations governing the process, he urged Assistant Commissioner Dr M R Ravi to carry out an investigation on the same.
“The government should confiscate the agriculture lands which have been bought by violating the law. Madikeri CMC in the meeting held on February 10 and August 8 has allotted the land to few buyers without any legal base, violating Land Reforms Act,” he alleged.
In his letter written to Dr Ravi, he has said that the land allotted by City Municipal Council on February 10, has been used for the construction of resorts, hotels and non-agricultural activities.
All the conversions should be cancelled and the government should acquire such land, he stated.
