North Korean ship detained by Coast Guard

The cargo ship M V San carrying sugar from North Korea to the Middle East was intercepted by the Coast Guard on Wednesday at around 5 pm, Public Relations Officer of the Andaman and Nicobar Tri Command Abhinav Bhabre said.

All the 39 Korean crew members of the cargo ship had been detained at the HudBay police station and investigations are on, the PRO said.

Both the Coast Guard and Defence agencies are investigating the matter, the PRO added.
